The Health Programmes

There is no more important time for the health of the entire aviary than the breeding season and the health programmes provide your breeding birds with the extra levels of energy, vitamins and minerals required to produce robust and healthy youngsters.

The "Gold Standard" Breeding Health Programme

The breeding programme provides the breeding flock, fledglings, moulting juveniles and new birds with the very best opportunity for continuing good health. In the off-season simply delete the Energy supplement programme.

The "Bare Essentials" Breeding Health Programme

This programme is designed for those enthusiasts with limited time on their hands but still want to enjoy good breeding results. This programme is used outside the breeding season as well.

• Disinfect water containers with Water Cleanser every week.
• Clean aviary with Cage Cleaner once a month.
• Give a routine worming with Wormer each 4 weeks from March until September.
• Give a mite/lice treatment (Ivermectin/appropriate insectide treatment) in Summer each 6 weeks from September until March.
• Give a water cleanser (Megamix) in the water when it rains for longer than 2 days.
